Healthcare professionals, such as doctors and nurse practitioners, can address a variety of common health issues virtually. However, not all requests are suitable for virtual care. During your consultation, the healthcare professional will assess your symptoms and medical history to determine if your condition can be safely treated through a virtual visit. Prescriptions and lab requests may be issued based on their evaluation. If you receive a prescription, you can pick it up at your local pharmacy or have it delivered to your home. Secure electronic forms of your lab requests are generated and can be printed and taken to any local laboratory for testing. The results will be uploaded to your Praxis Telemed medical record, and follow-up can be conducted virtually through the app with a follow-up appointment or with your family doctor.

Yes, even if you don’t have a health insurance card or are visiting Quebec, our doctors and nurse practitioners can conduct an online consultation through the Praxis Telemed app. The same conditions for virtual care apply. See the section: Am I guaranteed to receive my prescription or lab request?
