Do you know about scalp micropigmentation?

Scalp micropigmentation or dermopigmentation can be compared to the application of a tattoo on the scalp. This non-surgical treatment is ideal to effectively mask early-stage alopecia, even baldness, and to camouflage scars. It restores a density effect, hides a scar, or repairs a failed hair transplant. Its effect is permanent, immediate, with no contraindications or side effects. The result is very natural and realistic. Moreover, this solution is less expensive than hair transplantation. Effective and innovative, scalp micropigmentation is gaining more and more followers and is suitable for both men and women.

The scalp micropigmentation treatment

This involves injecting specific organic pigments at a precise depth in the dermis to mimic hair or beard regrowth. This technique perfectly camouflages all thinning areas and/or alopecia patches and creates a density effect.

Using a needle, the practitioner introduces bioresorbable micropigments characterized by small colored dots into the dermis of the area, filling spaces where there are no hairs or follicles. The dermograph is the device used to inject the pigments. To achieve the correct depth with each application, the needle penetrates about 1 mm under the skin, imprinting an insoluble pigment visible through the epidermis. To reach an optimal level, pressure, speed, frequency, needle penetration (diameter), equipment (dermograph), pigments, and colors are all essential factors to consider.

Reasons for consultation

Scalp micropigmentation is considered in many cases. Here are some examples of its uses:

  • To give a denser appearance to the entire hair, especially if the hair tends to be sparse on the scalp
  • To thicken beards that are uneven or patchy in places
  • To reshape the frontal hairline and parts of the scalp where baldness signs are most visible
  • To hide a scar, following surgery or a hair transplant
  • To recreate an eyebrow line, following illness or even chemotherapy treatment

Whether to achieve a shaved look, greater hair or beard density, conceal a scar, or reshape a line, scalp micropigmentation may suit you. Contact our professional now!
