The ACCESS BARS® Method
Are you looking for a professional in the Access Bars Method?
This service is now available at Clinique PRAXIS.
This is a non-invasive energetic technique developed by Gary Douglas (founder of Access Consciousness). This technique activates, by gentle touch, 32 points located on the head, connecting the “Bars” (activation of symmetrical points). Access Bars are neither a therapy nor a treatment, it is a tool that promotes the well-known “letting go”.
Stimulating these points causes a release of mental blockages, induces intense relaxation, and when gently touched, they effortlessly release everything that prevents receiving. The activated areas allow access to positive changes in the brain which, in a way, reduce stress and remove thoughts and harmful emotions from our lives.
Reasons for consultation
- Reduce stress levels
- Alleviate symptoms of anxiety and depression
- Let go quickly
- Free yourself from fears, habits, worries, negative memories
- Optimize motivation, alertness, and creativity
- Effective release of limiting beliefs
- Increase the feeling of joy of living
- Expand your possibilities and open yourself to a variety of life choices in different areas such as money, creativity, sexuality, communication, etc.
The session
Comfortably lying down, the session begins. With the fingertips, the practitioner gently touches the points for a few minutes, the process is relaxing and liberating, with music or silence according to your preference. Although a calming effect is observed quickly, an optimal session lasts on average 60-75 minutes during which a deep relaxation effect settles in.
At the end of the session, the gentleness of this technique will bring you a general feeling of well-being and, like after a massage, you will feel great relaxation and a calm mind. At best, some aspects of your life will improve.

Recent research
Recently, Dr. Terrie Hope PhD, DNM, CFMW published the results of a pilot study on the effects of “Bars” and revealed that after a single Access Bars® session, a decrease in anxiety and depression symptoms was measured, as well as an increase in EEG coherence (coherence being linked, among other things, to learning, intelligence, reaction time, and creativity).
In 2015, another study conducted by Dr. Jeffrey Fannin, neuroscientist, measured similar effects on brain coherence in 85% of participants.
Interesting facts
Scientists studied the brain before and after a session. The EEG shows notable positive differences in brain imaging. Another exam shows a very active area related to focus, concentration, and attention. After the Access Bars session, this area changes color, showing cerebral calming.
