Dr. Maxime Gaudreault, orthopedic surgeon, will be joining our team, specifically at the La Prairie clinic, starting in spring 2023.

Dr. Maxime Gaudreault is a Canadian orthopedic surgeon who completed ultrasound-guided injection training at Notre-Dame Hospital in collaboration with physiatrists from the Quebec Institute of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and CHUM.

He completed his medical degree in 2011 and his orthopedic surgery training in 2016 at the University of Montreal. Dr. Gaudreault has published research in sports medicine focusing on hip, knee, and foot/ankle pathologies related to running.

Following this, Dr. Gaudreault began practicing as an orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine, knee and shoulder ligament reconstruction, before becoming an associate member at Notre-Dame Hospital, where he performed knee, hip, and shoulder joint replacements. He also performs trauma-related joint replacements as an associate member of hospitals in Maria and Gaspé.

Dr. Gaudreault also performs partial knee replacement surgeries (unicompartmental knee prosthesis), total knee replacements, and total hip replacements at the private Wesmount Square Surgical Center in Montreal.

He has a general orthopedic practice and can see patients for consultations regarding all types of surgeries and anatomical regions. The regions include:

• Shoulders: rotator cuff repairs, Bankart or Latarjet surgery for instability
• Hip: total hip replacement and hip arthroscopy
• Elbow: treatment of epicondylitis
• Hand: thumb arthritis (rhizarthrosis), carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger fingers
• Knee: total knee replacement, UKR, ACL, PCL, MPFL
• Ankle: arthroscopy, cartilage damage
• Foot: arthrodesis, hallux valgus, hammer toes

He also performs ultrasound-guided viscosupplementation injections, calcium deposits washouts, distension arthrography, and carpal tunnel decompression surgeries.
