Travel with peace of mind

Before heading to your chosen destination, every traveler should consult a health professional specialized in travel medicine to learn more about the precautions to take and the potential risks related to various pathogens found in the country visited. Whether for business or leisure travel, vaccination is an important vector for prevention and health promotion.

Travel Health Consultation

During the consultation with a nurse specialized in travel medicine, your current health status will be evaluated, your itinerary and planned activities reviewed to determine the treatment plan and necessary vaccines. Health advice will also be given based on the chosen destination. If necessary, an antibiotic prescription may be provided, which can be started during your trip abroad in case symptoms related to traveler’s diarrhea appear, for example. Additionally, if needed, an antimalarial will be prescribed, a medication used for short-term prevention and treatment of malaria.

Vaccination requirements

Depending on your destination, some vaccines are sometimes mandatory for entry into certain countries, and others are strongly recommended to protect your health. These vaccines have a high effectiveness rate, mostly between 70% and 99%. Moreover, some have a prolonged duration of effectiveness, lasting even more than 20 years. Consult the website of the National Institute of Public Health for all details.
